Ground Labs is seeking an experienced technical writer to join our high-performing product team. This role will be instrumental in making complex information easily digestible and providing users with relevant information about Ground Labs' products and services in the right format at the right time. The position can be based in our Singapore headquarters, or the right candidate could join our remote team in the Philippines.

What you'll do:

• Create high quality documentation resources for Ground Labs’ products or services that are clear, technically accurate and consistent. Documentation resources include the software user guide, API reference documentation, ODBC documentation, knowledge base articles, tutorials, language reference manual, and more.
• Gather and analyze information from various sources to define the documentation scope and suitable publication channel for new and/or existing product features.
• Proofread and edit documentation produced by other team members.
• Mentor and possibly manage other members of the Technical Communications team.
• Maintain and organize the repository for documentation source files in a version control system.
• Manage the documentation validation and publication process on internal and external platforms.
• Liaise with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders and other functional teams to understand and influence the product feature requirements, documentation strategies, and schedules.
• Produce documentation related to the installation, setup and configuration of internal tools and processes.
• Write, edit and proofread technical materials produced in other business areas to deliver clear, professional messages to Ground Labs’ target audience.
• Identify and work to close the gap on areas of improvement for information management and documentation processes in Ground Labs.

What you bring:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
• Ability to quickly comprehend complex technical information and present them in a clear, concise manner.

• Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and to meet agreed deadlines for deliverables.
• Working knowledge of Unix / Linux environments, including common shell commands.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS / SASS and jQuery.
• Working knowledge of Git or equivalent versioning control systems.
• Basic familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC)

The following skills would also help you excel in this role but are not all mandatory:

• Experience with static site generators (e.g., Hugo, Jekyll, Redoc)
• Understanding of APIs, ODBC, or databases
• Understanding of scripting, query, or programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, Javascript, C++)
• Experience working with documentation frameworks like Diataxis
• Existing people management and/or mentoring skills
